The ram I'm considering buying is KVR400X64C25/512
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR400X64C25/512
but it is not on the list here
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=15431&mfr=ASUS&model=P4P800&distributor=0&submit1=Search

KVR400X64C3A/512 however is.
http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR400X64C3A/512

I asked their support and they said the only difference between the two is C25 has CL2.5 while C3A has CL3. So will it work in my mobo?

You can see that KVR333X64C25/512 is on the list too but that's only DDR333 :/

Please help! thanks :)

you already own the mb?

testing is done when the boards are intitially produced so any modules coming out after that wouldn't be on the list necessarily and the mb itself goes through revisions but should be OK if its close

you could contact the mb support via email or phone and ask or you should check out various forums to try to find out if anyones tried it with those exact components

my MSI Neo2 has a whole book on compatibly tested components

Ditto.

Kingston ram is pretty good when it comes to compatibility plus I remember that Kingston ram uses infineon chips.

I'm using that 'Ultra 512 PC3200' ram from <a href=../autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=147 target=_blank>Tiger Direct</a>, works fine.
