Counter Strike -- Sound Problems

I hope this is the right place to put this...

For some reason after like 6-7 minutes of play, my sound stops working. Its not my sound card or anything, because if i exit the program and play an mp3, it plays fine.

Is there a patch or something I need?

It used to work fine...I dont know what happened. Something with the specific server? Its happened to me on more than 2 different servers...

Any help would be appreciated.

could be a malfunctioning driver,
also are EAX and that other audio thing enabled? in CS i mean
