62000KM on 2001 Prelude. Had 47000 when I got it back in Dec 2003. So only drove 15000KMs over the course of one year period, which is below the average of 25000KMs per year. So I guess if and when I do sell it it'll retain better resale value.

It actually specifies to run on 92 octane gasoline.

WHOA! How much does your friend travel? He/She must be on the road 24/7 or frequently make long distance trips. 600,000KM is way too much :|

25,000KM is what the bank uses as average per year. Varies from city to city I'd say depending on where you live.

the only time your engine gets worn is when you start it. a car with 300 000 km thats been started lets say 5000 times is in much better shape then a car thats been started 10 000 times with 150 000 km. high way driving does reduce wear on cars. when you start your car, theres not much oil pressure right at the beginning and some parts wear. when your cars nice and warm and running its running at the right oil pressure and no parts in your engine touch. they all ride on a film of oil. very little friction. thats why oil changes is so important. also driving when engine is cold hurts it also as oil tends to be more viscous in cold temps and putting a load on the engine with not enough oil pressure adds wear.
