Is the current drive that you have a S-ATA?
Have you tried computer stores?
To my knowledge, EIDEs are not that much popular anymore and consequently you may find stock from November at some B&Ms.

good luck to you finding the chip on ebay or something. Otherwise you'll have to take your HD to a data recovery centre (more expensive)

Keep your hopes up. I know many people here bought the Seagate 200 when it was bundled with NCIX last year with an enclosure. I know I did but I have too much information on mine right now to trade it to you at the moment.
Could I ask what happened to your Seagate's circuit board?

I sugest you change the title to:
Trade your old Seagate 200GB for a brand new one and you get money too!
And also start a 2nd thread: WTB to buy a used Seagate 200GB. Will pay top $$$.
In that thread you can say: WTB and also WTT...
I hope in your case the mods are OK with that. :|
IMO, buying only sometimes can help. You can resale your new Seagate later, easily.
Good luck!

one component on the circuit board is burnt, I just need a circuit board to backup all the stuff from the harddrive and then i will RMA the drive.
My 250 IDE WD harddrives has the same thing happening when connect to the harddrives enclosure.
Both are dead.
Do you have a same chips as same as my seagate? I can send you cash for you to buy a new one. Thanz

I have a 200GB Seagate I bought last year (with the enclosure deal). I will check the chips when I get home tonight (Spare-Flair - did you check your chips?). If you haven't heard from me by tomorrow morning, and are still looking, feel free to PM me.

Your title means: New HD = old HD + cash.
Why don't try my suggestion:
"Trade your old Seagate 200GB for a brand new one and you make money too!"
and see how many more viewers you can get? You can change it back if it's not attractive.
