Nope. Also, the problem with touchless is exactly that...if your car is heavily soiled, all the spraying in the world won't clean it because the pressure isn't high enough.

I'm with you, I hate a dirty car, but when it's this cold washing it doesn't do it any good!
Wait till it gets to -3-4 where the salt starts doin g it's thing.

The Petro Canada's here let you go through again - I don't know if their touchless or not since I use the self-serve washes..

I used to be in the carwash business and dealt with Esso.
Officially you are supposed to get a rewash if your car is still dirty. But the operators will always try to get out of it because the chemicals come out of their pocket. But if you insist or threaten to call Head Office they will give you a rewash. But........................................ Dont wash your car right away . Wait a few days because the wax (or Drying Agent) that was just applied to your car will prevent the soap from working and your car will still be dirty. Touchless washes work very well if they are operated properly. Problem is operators cheap out on the chemicals.
Also, would you mind telling me which location you had the bad wash at (just curious if it was one of mine)

i go here
Jet Kleen Coin Car Wash Inc 416-759-9274
1666 O'Connor Drive,
North York, ON
M4A 1W4
$3 for 3min of hot high pressure water (choose rinse)
takes off chunks of ice and grim/salt on the suv
3mins is alot once you get the hang of it and can clear the car up
just remember to actually press the lever, i've seen some tards just letting it mist the car instead and i know they had it on rinse

:( I spent 5 minutes thinking about what you said
because Mavis is parallel to Hurontario (North-South), and "south of Mavis"?
Opened up MS Street & Trips to check it out, to make sure, ha ha
you probably meant "2 lights south of Burnhamthrope", right?

I was thinking about that too! I was wondering if he had found some shortcut to Mavis from Hurontario. :)

I've found this is the *worst* thing you can do! Because when it warms up to anything above -10 C, yeah sure stuff starts to melt and it is warmer but if you wash your car you might as well throw the money you used to do it in the garbage instead.
Washing your car when everything is all melty, salty, slushy is a bad idea because it all *sprays* everywhere. So you wash your car and by the time you drive home (or to wherever you're going) it is right nearly as dirty as it was before you went through the wash.
The best time to wash your car in the winter is when it is really cold, provided it isn't covered in hard ice/snow... That way when you come out of the wash the car is all shiny and the majority of it stays that way even if you drive around, and you'll get a couple days of "clean-car" out of it, instead of 30mins...
Just my $0.02... I refuse to wash a car in winter when it gets all melty; furthermore it is frustrating if you wash your car on a -20 C day and then the next day it is like -5 C because your car was only clean for a day :(

There's a HUGE carwash place at Yonge/Steeles.
I'm not sure if it's Esso or Petro, but it has a touchfree carwash AND hand carwash. ITs crazy, about 8 cars can go inside the hand carwash at once i think. I didn't know how to use it though and i got scammed for a toonie. Stupid soap was still coming out and my car was friggin soapy after i rinsed it. This pissed me off.
Also, there's one on Kennedy/Ellesmere (1-2 lights South of ellesmere) Its across the Aquarium Services. Haven't tried it.
There's also a hand carwash at Kenndy/Finch i think. The gas station at the South-West corner.

that's weird.. i never know they have a hand carwash over at Yonge/Steeles.. i thought that's only a touchfree... I go there very often because there is a Mcd in that gas station... ... oh well, if you really meant yonge/steeles, then it gotta be ESSO...
