It indeed is a sad day. JC was a man of great talent of class.
Leno isn't anywhere close to Johnny's level.

I have very fond memories of JC - he was my late night entertainment for many years. RIP Johnny.

RIP Johnny. :(

I remember my parents always watched his show at night; his personality was such that he could relate to any age group; when I got older, I watched his show as well. He was a very comforting person to watch on TV.

Jay Leno is very good, too, but there's no point comparing the 2, as each has his own style.

Or should I say, had. :(

The original king of late night TV would have been Steve Allen. Carson was the third host of the Tonight Show; Jack Paar being second.

I never found him funny. Ever. I do respect those that did.
RIP Johnny.

Sad, I guess. Someone else told me it was sad; who am I to judge?
