MSN Messenger - Sunday morning (anyone else down?)

sunday morning... and i havent been able to log in for a few hours.

i was logged in overnight and was on in the morning around 8-9... but for the past few hours, it has been down, or it appears to be down

im getting the msg "possibly because of a problem with the service or with your internet connection"

anyone else?

Yea. It was down for the longest time. However, I just managed to sign in half an hour ago.

On a related note, the entire internet (for the lack of a better word) seems to be slow today. A lot of sites are not opening up or responding. Either the cables are frozen due to the weather :P or there are some massive DDOS in progess.

The only thing unaffected, is ofcourse, P2P. Gotta love bitrorrent.

I had problems signing in with my DSL connection (TekSavvy) all morning, but it's fine with Rogers.

Well, there's a power problem down town Toronto..

the power transformer rooms in the basement of city hall got flooded with water.. so they had to shut the power off in order to pump the water out(I work in high voltage).. so I'm guessing some major internet link between people who can't get to certain sites/MSN messanger must be powered down town T.O. in the affected area..

at about 9:30 or 10 they said it would be a few hours.. but, in my experience it could be a lot longer then that..

ohh well I'm not even close to toronton I'm in hamilton..

internet seems to be fine.. but msn is not..

but msn should work regarldless.. thye have so many servers! if we can't log on, it should direct the traffic to the working servers out in the us..
