So I used to have one of these as a kid. And boy, did I have fun playing this game.

But many years have since passed, and I recently found myself not knowing what happened to this classic game.

Where are you? Where did you disappear to?

Frustration... Anger...

My game was nowhere to be found.

A part of my youth had died!

But not for long...

Last week, I took a bold step and said to myself: "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

I decided that it was time to TAKE CHARGE.

I took charge, alright...

I turned on my computer... paid eBay a little visit... and I FOUND the game!

Then, the moment of truth: I placed THE BID...

And waited...

And WON!

Now the game--my game--has ARRIVED!...

And now, that part of my youth is alive again. The kid inside me says: Thank you! :D

My friends, it's time for me to go have some fun.

Nothing can stop me now!

Nice, nice.

Do you remember Crush pop had a promo in the 80s where you had to look on the bottom of Crush pop cans and spell Crush. If you could do that you would win of those mini arcade games? Everyone wanted one of those mini arcades as a kid back in the day.

I was disappointed with the Pac-man game at the time. Galaxian was the best.

Galaga and donkey kong jr ruled my day.

I saw this http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10045255&catid=22094&logon=&langid=EN&dept=15

When i showed it to my little nephew, he just laughed at me in bewilderment.

He has been playing HL2 and xbox games so he can't appreciate old skool games.

Good for you!! It's definitely a classic.
I remember my favourite Christmas present was the Ms. Pacman version of the mini arcade.
I still have it and vow NEVER to throw it out!

Long live the 80s!

Haha, you're like me when I got my Colecovision with over 30 games. I paid $150 bucks for it, and thankfully it was in great condition. Smurf game, but best of all, Popeye, and my #1 all-time favorite, Ladybug!!!! Man, that game is one of the very best heart-pounding games ever.

My husband used to have that same game; he gave it to his nephews, along with his gameboy and all his games. {That was before we had kids; he should have saved them for our kids, lol!}

Congrats!

How much did you pay for it? Enquiring minds want to know, lol!

Come to think of it, I am going to set up the game system today for my 2.5 year old daughter; she'll love the smurfs! :)

I paid $45 USD for my Pac Man arcade game. Was kept in excellent condition, and includes original batteries, recharger, instructions and all!

By the way, the other game I plan to get is a 1978 Merlin Electronic Wizard (by Parker Brothers).

I actually still have mine, but unfortunately it no longer operates.

Needless to say, this is another classic game.

And I--a 28-year-old boy--am really looking forward to playing with Merlin again! :D

Isn't life great? :cheesygri

Do yourself a favour and build a MAME cabinet (http://fn2.freenet.edmonton.ab.ca/~atrick/). Then you can play all the arcade games you want.

Very cool!

How much $$$ does one of those MAME cabinets cost to set up?

Definately worth it, though.

That one cost me around $1200, including the computer and 27" TV. I sold it a few months ago for $2500.

I'm currently in the process of building a new and improved one thanks to the proceeds from my last one :cheesygri
And building it is at least as much fun as playing on it.
