This is absolutely ********. I had an engineering competition at UoT, and well parking was ********, but found an empty street with the parking sign. Anyways, one machine did not function, the other, could only purchase 2 hours maximum. So I purchased it, the competition was still going, but managed to sneak out however I came 1 minute late. So theres a 30$ fine... I had 9$ dollars in change for 6 hours, not like I wasnt willing to buy the ticket. Oh yea... its snowing, in -12+ windchill, yet someone managed to camp on this street.

Wow, I don't know where to start. Are you sure it was only 1 minute overdue? Usually they give you a few minutes of grace.

That's why people usually take the subway to downtown.

I came 1 minute late.

Take the ticket to the nearest police station and ask them to cancell it. If they do not want to do this bring your case to court.

Your parking receipt would show the expiry time being 1 minute prior to the time on the parking ticket. Challenge how they match the time between the clock of the parking receipt machine and the watch of the parking ticket maid.

This is why I avoid downtown at all times.

I left downtown already... who would go in this weather with 5" of snow? Oh well.. my other ******** parking ticket was at Vaughan, I parallel parked to the sidewalk with 1cm of tire over the sidewalk, and I got a violation for obstruction of sidewalk. I was being conservate to other drives; it was 3 car spaces wide, so if I were to park legally infront of my uncle's house, it would be 1 car space (a car on the other side).
