A teacher at school told me that every year , there's a BIG photography fair where used photography equipment is sold for super cheap prices, and its coming up soon. She lost the business card, so now I depend on the internet for further information. Its somewhere in downtown Toronto.

Do you guys know what the name of the event is , when it is , or anything at all about it ? I really want to buy a tripod, and when the prices are ~$5, its too hard to resist!

Thanks for any help!

There are actually several of them each year in the GTA. Usually held in an arena in Etobicoke but sometimes other location too.

Just keep an eye out in the Toronto Star's assified section under photography. In fact, there's one this Sunday in Thornhill.

Just one note though, buyer beware. I bought a Hassy SWCM from the show a few years ago at an awesome price ($1300). Worked fine at the show. After I took it home and put my own back on it and shot a few rolls, turned out it had problems (film plane alignment was off so half of the pic was soft). And the seller's phone number is disconnected. Had to spend $400 to get it fixed.
