If I mail out the rebate form with the barcode,
Can I still have it returned at futureshop?

This is the wrong forum and yes, if the CSR is too slow to notice a hole in the box, you probably could if you photocopied the reciept but that is really unethical.

So far - no major flames. My first gaffe got me a few flames.
Some stores will not return an item with the bar code missing. Some will charge a "service charge" if an item is returned with the bar code missing. This is done to stop people buying an item - sending in the rebate and then returning the item.

Everyone is more mellow being Friday afternoon versus Monday morning....so no flames yet...lol
Some stores will deduct the mail-in rebate off the return price (FS did this with my inlaws last week)

That's the same trend I've seen with FS.

The only time I tried to exchange something with missing UPC (a modem) at FutureShop, they let me do a swap of the unit only, and not the box.
