I seen the thread for worst/impulsive purchases so I thought a thread for your best purchases would be cool too. Either the best deal you have gotten through RFD or the purchases you make the most use of, or perhaps both. Here's mine:
Best deal: WD 160 Gig HD's from BB
Best purchase/s: X1 Projector (best purchase ever!!),Modded Xbox,Toshiba Laptop.

Approx 60 packs of Mentos, and 150 boxes of Shreddies :)
For more normal purchases its hard to be the almost free recent Epson r200 deal(even with all the hassle). THe Logitech Z-2200 speakers for $72 after rebate (that came with 8X$20 Staples coupons) was a good one. So many I can't remember the older ones.

Add another vote for 140+ boxes of Shreddies. I still have one on top of a shelf, can't stand them anymore. lol :D
Best money saved deal was C&C Generals PM'ed at Staples for 15$ instead of 60~70$. I can still see the look on the managers face when I pulled the PM on him. :)
Best *deal* of all thanks to RFD is my iPod. :D

Motorola V160c CellPhone + $30 Startup Prepaid Kit for $4
(4) 160GB WD HD's from Bestbuy for $15 EACH = $68 or so before (1) (75MIR) (yes before you say it, the Bestbuy employee did screw up majorly in my favour, but hey, all the better for me :)

One of the funniest was when I got the Microsoft Natural Keyboard for $5!! regular price is $79.99 at Stooples.. went there with a friend.. I fought hard for it.. then finally the manager gave in and sold it to me for $5.. then my friend was like "can I get one too??" the guy's eyes lit up like he was going to shoot us.. :cheesygri

Come to think of it, I haven't taken all that many deals from RFD in my two years of being here. :| Maybe a max. of 5.
But the most recent, and I'd say the best, is the Dreamhost one-year hosting plus free domain deal for US$10. :arrowu:

The best deal for me still, is the Shreddies/Famous Players deal. There's nothing better than walking out of your neighbourhood grocery store with over 50 boxes baby! :)

yup, the Dreamhost deal was definitely one of them. There were so many hot deals in the past few years I can barely remember each one! I got in on many including Mentos, IBM EPP, a few routers, keyboards, monitors, printers, speakers, watch, scale, DVD players, CDRW/DVD burner, Citizens bank, At Home GC, free stuff after rebate like games and UPS, more free stuff, RFD contest wins, etc.

A couple of things:
- Motorola cell phone with $30 Bell pre-paid air time for $4
- Staples $50 of $100 coupon. Spent it on an HP printer. And after literally months of fuzz with them on the transaction (missed delivery, screwed up billing multiple times), they gave me an extra $20 credit. Not related to the 50-off-100 but it pushed the printer down to only $30-ish after tax. :cheesygri

Well, not the greatest PM, but the most satisfying anyways.
3$ Dlink webcams at stooples after PM. You should have seen the managers face when i walked out with 2 of them.
He was trying to say "Nono, one only" and I asked him (and I paraphrase) "How do you know I'm not buying the second one for a disabled friend who couldn't make it in? What do you think I'm going to do with two for personal use, talk to myself over the internet? Stop being a dink!"
He just didn't say anything and walked away
the Cashier who rang them through was laughing and then a couple other cashiers gathered and congratualted me on the great deal :D
Last time I've ever been allowed to PM at that Stooples location, so now I don't bother with them.
