Is it possible to burn DVD/CD with just one DVD burner?

hello, I am just wondering if its possible to burn a DVD or PS2 game with just one DVD burner?
Since i am building a new computer and i need to know if i need to buy a new CD drive along with a DVD Dual-layer Burner.
Please enlighten me thanks.

No need for a second one.

Yes, you select the input and output drive as the same one and then select to copy the disc to your hard drive. You just need to make sure you have enough space on your hard drive.

YES totally possible... use programs such as ISOBUSTER, or ALCOHOL 120% to make either make virtual drives or disc images
