I was in the mall today and saw that Mexx has everything (including accessories, wallets, purses...) for 50% off. I think it's 50% off the regular price. I was in a hurry to get home for Christmas dinner so I didn't get to see any deals, just came in to browse and there was a super long line-up. I can't remember if the 50% deal is just for Boxing Day or not.

I wear a L everywhere else too...I go to Mexx for accesories only - belt, ties, scarf, toque...
If you want (mens) clothing that looks similar to Mexx but with normal fitting sizes, check out RW&CO,

definition of 50% off all items.

for original priced item, you will get 50% off the original price

for sale priced item, the lowest price of either the sale ticket price, or 50% off the original will be the price you will pay

I lined up for 30+ minutes just to get to the register!!! but it was worth it. Picked up a shirt and two ties. Too bad the shirt I really wanted wasn't there! Gonna try my luck downtown today

Not sure if 50% Boxing Day is All Sales Final...but normally it's 14 days for exchange on sale items (no refunds) at Mexx. What does your reciept say?

i think you should be able to exchange it, and yes the mexx sale was amazing. got a belt, tuque, a couple of tshirts and a shirt or two all for just under 100 bucks.

i thought Mexx's sale was kinda crap, i went to the one at fairview mall, and it has nothing but old stuff......but its 50% off on everything is better than those "up to 75% off" stores

they had some pretty good shirts/t-shirts/ at Scarborough town center today.

all the good belts were all gone (they only had the fancy frilly ones, with holes and what not, left), though and the same applies to the tuques, so you're out of luck there.

who knows maybe all the people in scarborough dont like mexx. hahah they hit up the more ghetto places  (i'm kidding so dont take it seriously anyone)

The only problem I have is once I washed the stuff a few times, it's no longer usable. I get XXL also cuz the sleeves shrink considerably.

I asked the sale clerk, all sales are final, no refund, exchange only. Sales at Mexx are always final if they are 50% off or more whether it's Boxing Day or during the year.

They told me it's refundable but only store credit. No exchange/refund before Dec 29th tho..

doesn't "All Sales Final" mean NO refunds, NO exchanges?? that's what it means here...

Hum, I guess they call it differently depending where you live. When I asked Tommy Hilfiger and Mexx sale clerks, they told me "all sales are final, no refunds, only exchanges".

I was at STC Mexx just before it closed today. The woman said there are NO refunds. I forget if it's exchange or store credit. I think it is exchange. I found there was a lot of stuff! esp for women I guess. Good range of sizes for most things. I didn't even bother with the jeans cuz I either didn't like the style or it wasn't my size. As for their clothes being for really small people.. I found it to be the opposite... I usually go for M or S. My stuff was mainly S and had an XS. M was just too loose for me. Hmm.. I dont' suppose I've lost weight.
Head to a mall near you! Mexx is at STC, Yorkdale and Eatons.. and many other places

is this deal still one??

Dec 29th, 2004, 12:31 AM
It's not much of a deal!

Mexx prices are insanely inflated to begin with, so a 50% discount is only fair. The quality of their clothing is not that great and their clothing care isn't very forgiving. This means you can't use the dryer for most items and you have to have an iron to make it look good. I've had a few tops that says you can use low heat dry but they still shrunk.

I walked in today towards the close of business. There was still tons of inventory left. I spent about 30 seconds walking around. Didn't see a single thing that i wanted. That store is trying too hard to be like Hugo Boss with their suits, ties, and shirts. Need more casual clothes from Mexx.

I went to the one at eaton center, there was plenty of stock, but nothing really great, i just picked up a dress shirt for 34, a sweater for 39 and a belt for 20, everything was half price. Kinda disappointed since my buddy got 20 dollar dress shirts for 20 bucks at the outlet store in woodbridge.

I also went to the Scarboro Town Centre Mexx yesterday (Dec 28). I found all the good stuff was picked clean. I found a couple of nice mens shirts but all they had left where XXL.

Im going to try again at the end of season.

I just have to make this comment ....

I was at New Jersey / Newark area last week - there was a Mexx store at the outlet mall with everything at $15 dress pants / dress shirts / sweaters and $29 (original price $269) suit jackets. Huge selection of clothes. No one there even know about this store when I was asking around for it.

Btw no such thing as a boxing day for them. They just said, "people complain too much."
