Futureshop has 100 on sale for $40... not a bad deal.

I've got several hundred DVD+R and -R, but I really want to get some of those Fujifilm, especially if they're the Made In Japan ones (Taiyo Yuden = best of the best); closest BB is in Calgary NE, but I hope I can make it there anyway... torn too, I just got one of those Epson R200, so I should be trying to get more inkjet printables, but I'll cave in and try to get some of these anyway :cheesygri

The FutureShop Benq DVD-Rs on special are quite good, not too sure about the DVD+R, but the DVD-Rs are pretty much all 4x SONY04D1 (media code), which I've been burning with quite low error rates on my NEC ND-3500A at 8x (one of the hacked firmwares I use had them burning at 12x with less success)....

today I picked 10-pck of DVD+R Verbatim at Futureshop and they're MCC 003, burn wonderfully with my BenQ 1620 which also got at Futureshop (but I 'm gonna return it in a few week anyway :D cuz 140bucks for this baby is way over price...)

if you have a DVD+R crunch like the BenQ 1620, then media is not that big of a problem :)

I need some advice. Which one should I buy, DVD-R or DVD+R? Which one is better and more compatible? Or are there really any significant differences at all between the 2 formats?
Thanks in advance,

DVD+r's burn faster but 1 to 2 mins but not too much difference.. dvd+r's might have a compability problem with older dvd players..

liek i posted in another thread
id rather go for the deal they have at FS for the BenQ dvd-/+r
10$ for 25 (0.40 each)
19$ for 50 (0.38 each)
35$ for 100 (0.35 each)
60$ for 200 (0.30 each)
and the 50 and 100 pack are sony discs, which is good for me

DVD+R are better if you have a newer drive than supports "bit-setting", DVD+R is also an open standard, no royalties so expect +R to be cheaper in the near future.
If you have an older burner you are probably better off with DVD-R.
