Looks like Southern Ontario is in for a severe winter storm (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/stormwatch/) . Forcasted amounts of upwards of 30 cm's for many. It looks like we're going to have a white Christmas afterall! :cheesygri Be careful out there everyone.

the white area doesn't cover Toronto, does that mean we're saved?

There's white stuff outside already so we're saved.

I'm sure the military will be called in just in case. ;)

You bet, we need someone to clear the snow off our cars for us. We are far too busy lighting stogies with $100 dollar bills and having orgies on top of our piles of gold!

Sorry Homer, but no. From what I hear Toronto could see about 15 cm, maybe more. Toronto is also in the freezing rain warning area, same as Niagara, but that is forcast for tomorrow. They are saying on The Weather Network that this storm should cause havoc at the airport later tonight and tomorrow.

Great news for everybody with kids. That is who it is really important for.

Oh no... I used to drive to Windsor all the time... Drive with extra extra caution! Always a ton of accidents on that stretch of the 401.

I heard that there is a particular stretch of 401 where lots of accidents and big pile ups happen. Does anyone know where it is exactly?

I think you're talkign about the stretch of the 401 near Chatam. It'd dubbed "Carnage Alley".

Which oddly enough is also the name of my website. ;)

Hubby played hockey tonight in Toronto and said the drive back into Niagara was bad from Beamsville on. It was so bad that he didn't even go to bed, he just went to work to drive back into Toronto... We have almost 5 inches on the ground here now at almost midnight.

Defiant, if you're still around the 401 is a huge mess from Kitchener onwards to the west. I just talked to a friend that her usual 25 minute driver took her over 2 hrs on the 401! I expect it to be even worse through carnage alley!

Thanks for the heads up :)

We decided that we are going to go tomorrow instead, not worth the potential risk for one extra night.
