I was wondering what the etiquette is for a newbie trader with practically no ebay/heatware feedback regarding selling some stuff.

First of all make sure to familiarize yourself with the information contained here:

Also due to some people getting ripped off or attempted rip-offs lately be prepared to ship your items first if you are trading with an established member. Welcome to the forum and good luck with your sale should you choose to sell some stuff here:)

I guess rule #1 is to read the damn stickies, eh?
Thanks for the reply mike, I thought as much. I guess there really isn't any other way around it is there. What would be the criteria to judge if someone is an established member?

Anyone who has 2 girls making out in their avatar is definately an established member :cheesygri You can go by heatware references, or ask other people they have traded with. I generally check out on people's recent posts to get a feel for someone before I do any business with them.

See if you can do some local deals first. People are a lot more willing to buy when they can meet you in person (IMO)
