i imagine its just the video where the UMD disc pops out of the system after you twist and contort the PSP while playing it. Gamespot has acknowledged that several units have manufacturing issues from air bubbles in the lcd, to analog nubs falling off.

Yikes, you could knock an eye out with that. BTW, why on earth would someone mess around with a PSP, pop out the disc while the system is running?

No it's not. I dunno how that guy managed it but my friend has not been able to replicate this ejection trick. He must've twisted REALLY hard or has a defective PSP.

It didn't look like he put that much force into it.

A disc shouldn't be able to pop out like that.

haha.. It looks like there is an eject button or something that he hit.. but, I don't think he did! That is messed!

sorry, but i think that guy hit the eject button or something becuase i can't see the PSP being made to " shoot " the disc out like that. it would make more sense to have it slide out like a car cd deck than to just pop it out like a toaster. and even if the ejecting mechanisim was bad it wouldn't just shoot it out like that as it's not spring loaded.

maybe he even had the disc in upside down ..... who knows, but something is funny ( not ha ha ) about how that went down.

if it is actually like that can you imagine using it on the subway or bus and it shooting the disc out and taking out the person across from you or worse yet, it landing on the floor during a packed bus or subway car and it getting trampled on.

not good ... but i still say it's not the PSP.

actually this is not the first reports of this that have surfaces. it was even on slashdot.org and apparently people managed to replicate the problem so its not an isolated incident. they'll probably fix it by the time it gets to us. :)
