I was wondering where in Vancouver can I rent Chinese DVD's? I prefer the place to have a large selection of Chinese DVD content and what's the pricing? Thanks!

Most Hong Kong movies at least, have both Cantonese and Mandarin tracks on their VCDs and DVDs, just like to point this out.

And recently they've started having DVD movie rentals in addition to VCD, it's about time because VCD quality is a little lame...

Why buy them? I only want to watch it once or twice and that's it. Seems like a waste of money if I have a lot to watch...

can you be a bit more specific with the location? I prefer to rent Cantonese DVD's cuz I understand only Cantonese :cheesygri. However, I wouldn't mind watching mandarin materials if there are english subtitles.

Well this thread is a bit old, but I just looked up that address and gave them a call. It's called PC Toys Games and Rental? Their phone # is 604-821-0779 and I gave them a call. They said they only rent games. Are you sure you gave me the right place?

yeah, some vcd have that, so you need a player that can play only the right or left channel.

Well, I just called them and they said they don't have any VCD's? They said they carry only DVD's so I'm assuming all they carry is movies and not TVB series.
