I havent been keeping up with the series, but is season 1-3 in widescreen?(whether tv or dvd, which?) I notice season 4 is in widescreen, did they implement this a while ago, or was smallville always like this?

It has always been widescreen in their HDTV broadcasts and DVD releases. I don't remember how it was in their standard broadcasts though.

Always been on widescreen for the DVD's.
