The crooked "Bad Boy" Lastmans are advertising Boxing Day "sales of up to 80% off." That means 1 cheap bait-and-switch item will be 80% off and the rest will remain overpriced!

The 80% will probably be a "display" lamp that they used for over 5 years in the store and is now all broken and dirty.
But seriously I dont' think they need to have ANYTHING that's 80% off. They could even use "upto 99.98% off"

Hey peoples! I recently visited an Ikea store for my first time and all I could say is WOW!! That place is da bomb-digity!! I went to the one by the Queensway in Toronto/Etobicoke and it was definately a great experience for me! Shopping for furniture at most places is kinda..boring but at Ikea it's great!! 50 cent hot dogs!! What wuuuh!! I wolfed down 6 as soon as I got there! Anyways, enough praise to an amazing store.
I'm currently looking for a sofabed and Ikea has some great ones. I'm just hoping they will have a good boxing day sale on sofabeds. The boxing day sale starts Dec. 26th as someone above stated but there isn't much info on what'll be on sale. Do we have any Ikea employees on the site that could give us a heads up??
Here are the two sofabeds I'm looking into, for those who may be interested...

and

I'd really love to get that last one but money is and issue and so is spacing in my room. Any suggestions?? (ie. other stores, good days to go, coupons, etc.)

I wonder if IKEA is having a boxing day sale and if yes usually how much is the discount and what's on sale.
I've never been to IKEA this time of the year, but since I moved to a bigger place a few weeks ago I think I will probably need more furnitures.

Ikea is slacking on their boxing week sales info!! I still haven't heard of anything "special" going on at their stores. What's the deal with that?!

Well, since your location is not shown, I'll assume you're in Edmonton. :)
The Brick & Leon's always have sales. They seem to have a decent quantity of stuff that is on sale, but the quality is... what you pay for. $399 for a leather sofa is pretty good.
Mobler (www.moblerfurniture.com) has some hot deals posted in the Edmonton Journal. 50% off tables, chairs and bar stools. 50% off a $398 bar stool is still too much...
You can also get 99% off a $1699 oak dining set if you're first in line... otherwise, stick to Ikea. Ok furniture at ok prices.
