Ok, so I just watched Spiderman 2 for like the 5th time today and i have been thinking about a third film a lot now.
It is supposed to come out in May 2007 but i think its too far away!!!!
Who do you think will be the villain(s) in this film?????
Obviously, it looks like the Green Goblin will return but what about Venom???
In the cartoon, Venom was JJ Jameson son, not Eddie Brock (at least i think so)
So, do u think its possible that Venom is already a given????
Lets look at the facts......
MJ is supposed to marry the astronaut
MJ doesnt marry him
The astronaut went to the moon (outer space) meaning he could have come into contact with the alien symbiote
And finally, did u see the look on his face when he found out MJ ditched him
he look pissed!!!!!!
Revenge motive against Peter Parker???
Anyone else have any theories????

Can you say "triple threat"? Dr. Connors was also featured in Spider-Man 2. If Venom and the Green Goblin make appearances in Spider-Man 3, I can't see why the Lizard can't. The Lizard has always been one of my absolute favourites...there's something very menacing and even tragic about him.
Personally, I don't think Venom will be in Spider-Man 3. It will more than likely be the Green Goblin, and maybe a double threat team-up with The Lizard. It will be difficult to top Doc Ock...Alfred Molina was awesome.

I've seen the cartoons and John Jameson was never Venom.
Majority of people would love to see Venom in the third movie but I don't think it's going to be. I heard Kraven is more likely as well as Green Goblin (the movie would come full circle), The Lizard and Man-Wolf who is aka John Jameson.

itd be awsome to see spider man w/ the symboint (sp) the black suit that he gets when it leaves eddie brock
but i doubt they'll ever do that.. too much CG needed and they got wayyy to many other stories to work on before that.
i don't like how peter parker showed everyone who he was in SM2..
kind of lame

In the comics, the symbiote costume was a replacement to Spiderman's destroyed costume during the Secret Wars. Parker eventually gets rid of it using the bells of a church, only to have the alien creature attach itself to Eddie Brock who believed Spiderman ruined his career.
In the cartoon, the symbiote is a creature brought to earth by J.J.'s son during a shuttle mission (crashing on the bridge). Once again, Eddie Brock is infected by the alien creature.
We've heard Brock referred to a couple of times in the movies. And of course there's Kurt Connors. So that paves the way for either Venom or the Lizard. And of course the return of the Green Goblin. We'll just have to wait and see if it's on of them, or another villain. (Sandman would provide an FX extravaganza.)

been discussed before
but my opinion: to PROPERLY end a trilogy, it'll be harry osborne green goblin vs. spiderman.. it's building up to that... to add venom would take too long... maybe in the next set of spider-man films they'll probably do that... although, the lizard angle could work in the next film as well.. so green goblin and the lizard

I think Brock was mentioned as the celebrity photographer who got hurt and Parker had to take over (I could be wrong since it's been a while since I watched SM2) or was it the first movie?
Anyhow, I doubt we'll see more than one villain take Spidey on at a time. It's hard to get to know 2 villains in a movie and you can't develop their characters. Multi-villains is what killed the Batman movie franchise.

No venom. There is a spin off coming which will feature venom, so he's out unless it’s a quick cameo. Most likely candidate is Lizard.

I think you're right. Brock is mentioned as the injured photographer Peter takes over for. Again, J.J. mentions him in passing during the first movie.
Keep an eye and ear out. These movies are laced with little tidbits for long-time Spiderman fans. Thank you Raimi! :cheesygri

This is the truth actually. They are looking to do it such as the Batman series with many many movies. As well, both Kirsten Dunst and Tobey McGuire only signed on for 3 movies. So chances are the Spiderman franchise will get really lame after they leave. But we'll have to see.

Would like to see Rhino in as a possible sidekick to either Green Goblin or Lizard as well...after all he was in the Spidey 2 game...

Possibilities for enemies are nedless. There are so many and everyone has their favorite.
What about the SPot  , he was a good one (if anyone remembers him from the First volume of Spectacular Spider-Man) I think it was around isue 102 or something like that

HahA! How about The Ringer? From Spectacular Spider-Man #58. Spider-Man has one of the best rogue galleries in all of comicdom, but he's had some real duds too...The Rocket Racer, The Hypno-Hustler just to name a couple...just really bad stuff. :cheesygri

Venom was a great character...at first. Then Marvel started watering him down. He become some sort of vigilante, administering justice as he saw fit. Then they seemed to turn him into almost a vampire, having that burning need to feed. Meh. Plus the whole Carnage thing, with multiple offshoots, didn't help. Hobgoblin, as done by McFarlane was an impressive and creepy villain.
The reimagining of villains could make almost anyone great. I wasn't overly fond of the Power Ranger Green Goblin in the first movie, but Doc Ock went from a fairly cheesy villain to Molina's grand portrayal. The Lizard would probably give them the most to work with, as he's one of the better Spidey nemeses.

I loved Venoms first appearance in ASM #299. McFarlanes rendition of his was awesome. Now the comics today have taken the head and fangs a bit far with them almost going around his entire head. Maybe a metemorphis over the years.

But we'll have to see.i'm sure mcguire will exit after the 3rd movie but that's fine. Jake gyllenhaal would make a perfect replacement. the scripts and directors would really have to be awful to sink the spiderman series which is the case for any movie franchise.

Spiderman series will never be a trilogy. They have already planned 7 more movies after the third one.

Yup! I still remember when I picked up 298 and 299 for $10 each (marked down from over $100) when Legends of the Game was getting out of comics! :cheesygri But I think the last time Venom was done right was by McFarlane.
Oh, and it only takes one bad seed to end a franchise. Just ask Schumacher.

did they? Read in a report that the execs at Sony are going to cut it at 3 and leave it.
Perhaps a few years later they'll pick it back up again... a gap like the one between the Star Wars?

Oh definitely
More sleek and good looking too. I just dont like his red and blue suit
There was an episode of spider man, where like.. 5 spidermans from different dimensions meet up, and one of them was peter parker being super rich and had a metal suit.
That looked amazing too.
There were action figures like that.
