Doom 3 multiplayer - any good?

I played Doom 3 at a friends house and to be honest I found the game gets boring rather quickly. I didn't have a chance to check out the multiplayer though. I really like Halo online and was wondering what people thought of Doom 3 online?

nope don't like doom3 at all.. but at least I'd played it, finished the game.

gets really boring, dark corners, you know theres something gonna happene lol

I gave the online game a try after finishing the single player game, and it's much more cpu (or video) intensive. I had to decrease my video settings big time to get it to perform similar to the single player game. I found that odd.

Edit: Oh, and it wasn't very fun. Nothing original. Perhaps the mod writers will come out with something, but if you were thinking of buying, don't bother. Get HL2, Tribes 2, UT2004 or FarCry instead.
