can this player play .asf format?
it says wav wma and mp3 supported, you can try asf I guess and hope it works :D , but that is what the manual says it supports.
Something else I found out is the record line in feature records to mp3 format automatically :)

if it didn't list out .asf as one of the format it supported, it probably can't play this format. i have lots of radio show in this format. so far i only found mpio, samsung and iriver that support this format.

Its pretty decent with just the stock headphones :) I am not sure how the hdd replcements work, but I don't see why not, if you can get a micro hdd, you'd have to figure out how to open it though...
At this price this thing is a steal even if you just used it as a portable mass storage device.

R these still avail? It really does look kind of like a T616. Does it come in any other colors? What do yuo use to transfer mp3's. Is it easy like iTunes? How long does the battery last? R these replaceble? Is pickup or meeting somewhere in the GTA feasible?

this sounds like what you should say when you pm him.
and no. it does not come n other colours since he only has one and the pictures he took show that its black..
he said transferring mp3 is by drag and drop. you move the mp3 files into the hard disk folder in My Computer.

thanks for the bumps & help answering q's :)
I just answered your questions in pm , before coming to this thread :-/
one I get asked a lot is about meeting in the gta, this is for pick up or shipping only.
Also the player does come with software, but its only useful for windows 98, windows xp auto detects the device and sees it as a mass storage device.

nice litlle unit, looks pretty tought, big ouuuu and ahhh for the oled display
pros :
light, small but sturdy
oled display is niceeee
good sound better than most mp3 player i had (cant comment on ipod, never had one)
fast start, fast off
cons:
battery life (keep the small charger with u at all time (really small it is)
little remote thingy HAS to be connected, loose it, ur screwed :P
cant browse songs while music is playing (thats weird...)

Sorry, a bit off topic here...
I bought one of these MP3 players, and for the life of me, couldn't get it to work. Initially, I could put songs on it, as the computer would recognize the MP3 player as a storage device, but when I tried playing it with the headphone/remote, there's no sound... and just recently, the player would be stuck at the "Welcome" logo and not do anything at all... is anyone having similar problems?
I tried charging battery, using different computers, removing and inserting battery, using different headphones, using/not using remote, etc., and nothing seems to work...
DJXP was helpful in giving me different things to try, and it does seem like an isolated incident, but I figure with so many people out there w/ HD based MP3 players, I can't be the first one with this problem... help?
