Why would anyone give you $250 cash for a Gift card worth $250?
Are we missing something here?

It's obviously because the card that holds that $250 value is just so freakin sexy...i mean...DUH!!!!

I agree....what advantage is there to buy a $250 BB card for $250?
Wouldn't be a savings at all. One could easily just go to BB and spend their own $250 out of their own pocket.
Only remote advantage would be if someone had an LCD monitor they wanted to get rid of and trade it for the $250 BB card....(so the card can be used to buy a new LCD)...but BB pricing isn't always the best....LOL
Either way, BUMP to the dude for at least trying to get someone to actually pay him $250cash to buy his $250 BB card...LOL ;)

Good luck dude!
If you are looking for trade, that means the 17" LCD must cost $250 (including tax) Which is a slim chance! And you are trying to get yourself a hot deal?
And if you asking for $250 for a $250 GC... I don't see any points for it...
So in anyways, sounds like if the deal is done, advantage is on your side... Worng place to ask, this is RFD and I don't think any RFDers will fall for this.

Donate some towards Tsunami relief :)
http://forums.redflagdeals.com/showthread.php?t=128537
BB will double your donation, then CAD Gov't will double it again
So $50 donation = $100 after BB = $200 final
400% return towards good cause

Doesn't it bother any of you that the Canadian Government can afford to do this, yet we have so many other problems within our own society we cannot fix, such as homelessness, health care woes, and more?

Don't mean to be off-topic. But my thinking is always this
Do you rather see Canada having disaster, being saved and accepting money from worldwide?
No country is perfect and there'll never be one. Help in ways we can, if you're willing to. I love deals, and I still am willing to donate, even just for $10 or $20, getting it 4 times the value is greatest way to help!
Hence I'm donating my FS GC's ($100 out of $200 value)

Couldn't agree with you more!!!
Why are we sponsoring the children of third world countries when we have Canadian children issues of our own to deal with? What's up with that?
Let's make sure everyone in our Country is okay before we help other countries.

man, you guys are selfish.
that's like saying "I really need that BMW, why does my neighbor need my assistace to buy a bike?"
Even the homeless have it good in this country. The reality is, our homeless have the ability to make more money (squeegee kids, etc) and have access to more food than over 50% of Thailand's population.
Now let's all stop threadcrapping on this guy's (or gal's) thread.

You must be an idiot to think like that. Children in Canada don’t wonder the streets in their underwear looking for food because their parents were killed in some natural disaster.

The point I am trying to get at is not that we are helping - that is great. I am trying to point out how we are always told "there is no money for (insert problem we have here), yet miraculously whenever a crisis occurs, we have millions to donate and put in.... A little fishy....

they don't just take money from no where
they will eventually cut more expenses + canadian market is picking up lately
shouldn't be a problem.
Just that these ppl will not solve the problems within canada, but rather avoiding it.
They will wake up one day and say 'Wow, lack of money in health care, hundred millions ppl died becuz of a disease, maybe we should starting THINKING now.'
Sigh......
One more note:
Take the 375 deal buddy, cuz no one will pay 400 cash for 400 GC

Lets put it this way, in terms of our healthcare, we are much better off than than the U.S....so if you don't like it then move there!
I don't see you donating to the homeless!....besides 90% of them would be richer than you making all that street coin if they didn't resort to a life of drugs and alcoholism.
Why should the Canadian government spend anymore money on Canadian families in need....how about we eliminate welfare(because most people are so damn f***ing lazy to get a job, or are scamming it anyway)
What has happened in Tsunami is attrocious! Unfortunately, unlike the "spoiled" Canadian society, these people worked so hard for barely anything and then lost all that in a matter of minutes!
Its a shame to see that I had posted an ad for my $100 Futureshop giftcards to be sold and the money was to be donated to Redcross, and I got about 3 responses. Doesn't it shame you guys the least to know that I would have sold it much faster to the punk who wanted to get a good deal as opposed to a good cause for a STARVING country?
Before you guys become so concerned with what the Canadian government is doing with the money, please be concerned with what "You" are doing about all this!!!!
Cheers!!

No need for name calling here. It's just my opinion.
How is what you said a "Canadian" taxpayer problem? Our government keeps stating that there is not enough money for things like healthcare, homeless programs, etc. But there seems to be an extra $80 Million + sitting around for sudden relief efforts? And they keep raising taxes.
Where did that cash come from? That's all I'm saying. I'm not comparing our children to third world children. Hands down Canadian children have it better, that's why we're not categorized as a 3rd world country. We, in general have it better than many countries, that's not what I'm talking about here.
It's the sudden availability of cash from our government that bugs me. Yet, we have many problems of our own with low funding. Have you had to wait for a hospital worker in an emergency room lately?
You must be an idiot to think like that. Children in Canada don’t wonder the streets in their underwear looking for food because their parents were killed in some natural disaster.

Nice generalizations dude. I guess you hate most homelesspeople and people on welfare?
Just because there was a tragedy doesn't mean that all of these people were necessarily hard working people? Did you know them all? Cause this is what you said ...
these people worked so hard for barely anything and then lost all that in a matter of minutes!
Quit the drama, yes it was a tragedy, but why is what you said below a Candian responsibility? Why should I be doing anything about this?
I'm concerned with the well being of my family and friends first.
If you really want to help so much, you don't have to look too far here at home in Canada to help out a stranger.

Don't hate the "punk" who wanted a good deal, hate the game. Aren't we all punks according to you? Isn't that why we are on RFD? To get a deal on something???

Alright Verge, If you want a tissue and some candy I'll be glad to get you some. Im using the "term" punk as vaguely as possible. Do you get offended when people call you brat? I didnt really think so. Im sure everyone is so concerned over their family and friends, but all we ask is that people take this sort of thing seriously....what if that was you and your family?
I dont hate homeless people, and no I dont know how hard those people worked for a living, but if you know anything about geography then you will know that the people living in those countries have to work a damn lot harder to survive than we do....they dont have sh*t handed down to them the way we do!
Oh and one last thing.....if you want "drama" tune into CNN, cause RFD is open for all opinions.....stop hating and start participating!!!
