Whoooooooo, awesomeness!! This is what I like to see. Sox starting out losing the first three, but not to let that get them down, they work hard and win the next four.

congrats to the red sox nation, if for nothing other than the fact that the yankees deserve to lose.

But Soxs pitching and hitting were slightly worse than Yankees in total.

Walks: Sox 33; Yankees: 28
SO: Sox 51; Yankees: 53.
HBP: Sox 7; Yankees: 1
WHIP: 1.61; 1.48

The greatest comeback in baseball history.

POssibly top 3, if not the best, in North American pro-sports history

BUT, Game 3 skewered everything. 19 runs will do you in the average of mere 7 games

Actually 11 runs because Sox also scored 8 runs. Sox also scored 7 extra runs in game 7. It is sort of offset for the blow out.

True. NYY out-did the Sox offensively and defensively. Let's open a whole new can of worm on "clutchy'ness", shall we?

Not saying they are clutch (I'm still neutral on this whole clutch thing), but they did get some timely hit to get to Rivera, and Tom Gordon to keep the series alive
