I Like that pick, Browns over the Eagles. Jeff Garcia vs Terrell Owens. Owens claimed Garcia is gay in the summer, and there was a huge media hype about it. Garcia is mad, so hes gonna kick some Eagle ass.

Jesse, the Browns is playing pretty well at home this season, Eagles might be in for a letdown, it may win S/U but not sure if Philly will cover the spread. If i play in a pool, i'd definitely rotate that game.

Solid picks Trash, really like Tampa and Denver this weekend

Did any of you guys play the ProLine Pool where you pick the winners of all the NFL game and whoever got the most wins (usually 14/14) the big pot. Last week there were 72 winners, each pocketed $5K and some change. Not too shabby i reckon.

Thanks Oreo, I appreciate the picks.

Can any of you guys post your top 8-10 games or so to bet on? (i.e. the most predictable ones?) I would be curious to see what would be the safest bets... i.e. it would be tough to call the NY/NE game... both 5-0 and both great teams. I am just getting into football (can't wait to Sunday to watch the games) so I cannot offer educated opinions yet. hehe. Soon enough... when betting on golf on pro-line comes up again soon I can help you guys, I am awesome at predicting golf... it is my favourite sport on TV to watch!! Thanks a lot guys, I look forward to your responses!!

Philly, Seattle & New England would have to be my locks with Buffalo being my underdog pick against a weak Baltimore team (sadly I have 2 players from BAL in my lineup this week thanks to byes and suspensions).

If you need a tie (within 3) I'd say Jacksonville/Indy, that game will be closer than the spread leads you to believe. Look at Chicago to upset, and my friend feels Miami is going to have a big game at home, though I think STL will outpace them in the air.

But to be honest with you, I don't like this week at all, there are too many evenly matched teams to make solid choices.

To be totally honest I think there will be a lot of ties (as per Proline rules 3 or less). Here are by picks for games that could end as Proline ties:

Buffalo @ Baltimore
Chicago @ Tampa Bay
Jacksonville @ Indianapolis
NY Jets @ New England

Your 2 safest picks are probably these 2:

Denver @ Cincinnti
St.Louis @ Miami
with the Philly and Cleveland being a close 3rd. (Philly should blow them out, but I think it will be a pretty close game)

Good luck everyone,

Wager: 2 Win: 40

here is what i think of your tickets:
13 - Buffalo stinks and i think bledsoe stinks even more. it'll be very, very difficult for buffalo to rack up a lot of points against a very strong defence.
16 - Jacksonville played indy in week 4 and lost by a measly four points. however, this was when jax was at home and now the game will be on indy's home turf. my guess is that indy will win by two touchdowns.
19 - I agree with you. miami sucks
20 - not too sure about that one, but i agree with your pick
24 - again, not too sure about this one. arizona is a very tricky team...sometimes they're hot, sometimes they're cold. i'd leaning, though, towards your pick of seattle.

******************

Now my picks...i played the early line so the spread may differ

Proline:
SD win by 4 = 2.6
CHI @ TB tie = 3.4
ATL @ KC tie = 3.3
$10 pays $291.70

Pointspread
NJ -7.5
PHI -7.5
SD +2.5
STL -7.5
DEN -6.5
$10 pays $200

Good luck to everyone!

Well, i'd like to think i win a lot but the truth is that i lose prolly more than i win. who cares anyways? if ur willing to play, u hafta be willing to pay. :)

i just checked out the lines and compared my ticket to the new lines that came out yesterday...here's wut i found out...

POINTSPREAD
1. NJ -7.5 wednesday...-7.5 today = no change
2. PHI -7.5 wednesday...-9.5 today = NICE!
3. SD +2.5 wednesday...+0.5 today = NICE!
4. STL -7.5 wednesday...-8.5 today = NICE!
5. DEN -6.5 wednesday...-8.5 today = NICE!

i dunno if that means anything but anyone choosing the same teams that i chose above will find it more difficult to win cuz olgc's lines have changed.

good luck, everyone!

Well fellas

I think the best picks this week would be

SD +0.5
OAK -1.5
IND -9.5
TEN +7.5
NYJ +7.5

and GB -5.5

I don't play ProLine as often as before, moving to offshore books as they have better odds and more chances of winning but i still wanna get some $$ off the government and ProLine does have some interesting games such as the Pools.

Did any of you bet on the college games today ?

Wondering if ProLine will bring back the NBA becuz without hockey there won't be anything to bet except the NFL and CBB

Well airblade correct me if I'm wrong but the golf season is almost done ? and we have to wait until next spring again ?

Right now there's NASCAR betting too but I know jack about that, also some mid-week soccer actions but I don't quite follow it a lot now as I used to do

Anyway here's my one and only Pools ticket for this week, no time and money for any combos or rotations :(

Straight up winners only

Buffalo
NYG
Philly
Indy
Ten
SD
STL
TB
KC
GB
Sea
Oak
Den

$5 for God knows how much LOL

Yah it's been rough man

The only consolation for me is with the NY Giants, Indy, St Loo and possibly Seattle losing, it has knocked off about 85 people from my Survivor Pool.

Maybe going heavy with Game 2 of WS to recoup some losses man

Well, the golf season starts January (at least the PGA Tour does)... it doesn't really get heated until April and the Masters. However it is a matter if the olgc will have golf on the tickets... I'm pretty sure they will. I mean, in January there will be like nothing to bet on!!

Another question guys... where do you bet offshore? What websites do you suggest? (or whatever you do.. :) ) I'd like to bet on single games!!

Thanks...

Thank you for the suggestion. I was looking at Monday's football game and the spread was much better than olgc... -6.5 on willhill and -8.5 on olgc... cool, I'll check it out. I like that you can bet on a single game!

Have you had any problems at all withdrawing or depositing money? Can you give a little mini-review? Thanks.

I haven't had to withdraw any money yet, i've made two deposits and have just kept playing with my winnings. Other than that I haven't had a single problem with them but a word of caution, make sure you know where you're clicking, once you make a bet the bet cannot be cancelled.

Well a good site to start is http://www.sportsbookreviews.com

I personally recommend Pinnacle and/or Olympic (thegreek.com)

Lower juices, lots of options and fast payouts with almost no down time, i guess nothing better that you can ask for

For deposits and withdrawals i use Neteller.com

Also note that most of credit cards are not accepted simply because the CC companies want nothing to do with gaming places. I think Willhill does accept it though but the process is kinda cumbersome i.e. u have to fax ur driver's licence blah blah blah

Hope it helps

I just input my credit card # and deposit the money.

I just had a rather interesting though, let's say I have a CC that I get some sort of reward points for or cashback, what's stopping me from depositing my credit limit all the time and withdrawing my money?

Okay, thanks for the info... can you talk a bit more about neteller? A little review of them, and how fast you can deposit and withdraw money to canadian bank account...thanks.

canabiz
Oct 25th, 2004, 09:31 PM
Well in a nutshell Neteller is like the middle-man, you transfer money to Neteller from your bank account and then transfer money again from Neteller to the sportsbook of your choice. The withdrawal process is simply the opposite

You have different methods to deposit your money into Neteller, if you want the money there instantly be prepared to pay a fee of 8.9%, if you don't mind waiting (about 3-5 business days) the transfer is free and finally you can deposit via credit card (i haven't looked at this option simply because i want to control myself LOL)

Most online books have Neteller deposit buttons and deposits into the books are as easy as clicking that button. Some have the Instacash option where the money will be sent from Neteller into your book right away and the book will take care of the fee. If not then it's a small fee typically < 5% I think

Withdrawal also doesn't take long to complete, you can expect money in your chequing account in a few business days from the time that you send your $$$ from the book to Neteller and again from Neteller to your bank

I find this to be the best and most cost-conscious method. There are other ways such as Western Union, FedEx, UPS, bank wire etc but those take longer and you have to pay more fees

Hope it helps

P.S. I'd recommend you opening your account in $US that saves exchange rates back and forth

Geez, only 1 person this week got all 14 on the Pro's Pick Pool... he won $404,454. Geez, thats a nice prize on a 5 dollar bet! It was a tough week... who would have put Miami, Cincinati, and Arizonia on one card? That guy deserves the money, those were tough picks!!

Welcome to the world of sports handicapping airblade, not meaning to insult your intelligence in anyway but if you truly believe that the dude won that grand prize on $5 ticket then well let's just say that I could be in Hawaii or the Cayman Islands now

It's a dog-eat-dog world out there my friend, one of my buddy spent $5K on a bunch of combinations and still came up 1 short with the Denver Broncos stinking up a joint on MNF, 13/14 won you nothing but heartache and headaches :( Yep you read it right, 5 freaken grands and nothing to show for it. He did win it last week though so that money was simply re-invested

Not to say that the winner spent more than $5 which is possible but highly unlikely. Who could pick Arz, Jak, Cincy, Detroit to win straight-up in his/her right mind ?

welcome aboard fellas, the ride only just begins, i fully expect the pot to reach 1 million by Xmas if not earlier

Peace bro

Yes, I understand the winner probablly bought more than one ticket... it's still pretty good as there are quite a few permutations. The guy who won probablly bought quite a few tickets... :) I wonder what his profit margin was.

Well, lets do the math... 2^14 = 16384 X 5 (per ticket) = $81920 If someone bought every ticket they could have a nice little profit! However, it depends on how many people split the pot...

Meh, oh well.
