A suggestion - delete threads or lock immediately if started by banned RFD members.

I believe that banned members should have threads eliminated from the site completely. Trolls thrive on this stuff and if a topic (by chance) they initiated is worthwhile, another RFD member can pick it up.

It's getting silly esp. with the recent wind-punk-salt-yourfired newbies.

They are simply coming back and using previous topics they were banned from to springboard into the conversation again with their racist views, for example.

I agree they should be deleted as well...no place for that kind of trash on RFD.

Maybe not deleted, but definetly locked.

Is there a quick way in the boards software to lock every active thread by a banned user? Or is that just overkill?

But definetly if they're banned for posting in one of those problem threads then at least that thread should be locked.

agreed... and for repeat offenders, their IP's should be blocked.... some peeps will figure out ways to get around this, while others will not !

Unfortunately the IP is usually shared by multiple of user most of the time especially if they're on a larger ISP like Sympatico or dial-up
