A 2.4Ghz Newcastle isn't 3700+, the 3700+ is 2.4Ghz w/ 1MB cache. On avg, extra 512kb L2 cache is about 200Mhz in terms of clock. So at 2.6Ghz, a Newcastle would be about the same as 3700+. ;) So if the CPU can run at 2.6Ghz stable, you'd get 3700+ performance + more. (due to increase mem bandwidth)
Oh yeah, and you'd probably need a slightly better PSU to really be stable at high clocks.

Bump, Sorry guys not parting at the moment..
Why Not? Mainly because After checking out prices i wouldnt even be able to afford a decent p4 system with the cash i'd get if i reduced.. even if i Put it up for 750FIRM... you cant get anything decent.. Check yourself in Ncix or Atic.. It's really hard to build something nice for 750.. Especially a Shuttle.. If I do ever plan to part out.. I will keep you informed.. and mention "partOut".. plz buy!

just keep it for the length of time you have had it and what you invested you are gonna lose out good. Not worth it.
775 system is not worth it at this time a current system will give pretty equal performance with the right components for a lower cost

Your absolutley right, Though I wanted to Give a P4 A try, have never had an experience with P4.. never at all lol.. But I may turn to a shuttle.. even if it means downgrading a little or i might end of keeping this system.. :D.
Bump!!
