- i was looking at the scoring, and it looks like that shots attempted and FT attempted don't count...so does that mean there's no penalty for having someone like Shaq or Duncan or Iverson?

- never been in a head to head league...how does it work?

- is there a limit on how many games can be played at each position? that way people can't just add and drop players who have lots of games coming up to score more points

EDIT: Hmm, just realized % don't count in our league, but rather just the number made. That's just another advantage for high scorers... (in other leagues I'm in, they count % as opposed to number made)
Basically, each week is Mon-Sunday and you'll be playing the same team. Stats all accumulate, and at the end your record will be based on how many categories you win. For instance, if at the end of the week, your team has scored 200 points total, other team 100, then you win the scoring cat. There are 9 categories all together, so you could potentially finish the week between 0-9, and 9-0 (as well as ties). It's as if your team is playing 9 games per week.

There are no limits to number of games played so basically you want to have as many guys playing everyday as possible (unless you fear they'll screw you over with TO, FG% or whatever). You can add/drop all you want but there's the waiver waiting.

nash is leading the league in assists, and t-mac is barely putting up 20 5 and 5

jackson is getting maybe 14 points and 5 board a game, but nothing else, and woods is getting maybe 7 points, 6 boards and a block a game

I don't feel I was ripping the other team off and he obviously didn't feel so either because he accepted and vice versa. If big trades aren't going to be see fruition then I may as well give up on the league. With so many teams, the free agents won't exactly play a huge role in terms of changing a team around. I'm somebody that takes chances and I make tons of roster moves including trades, but if everything I propose is going to be rejected then there really is not point in playing.

exactly, my team got completed screwed up cause i forgot to pre-rank and i wasn't there for the draft

i had like...5 pg's (nash, billups, areans, jaric (didnt think he'd be playing this well and i thought that livingston would take more of his time), and claxton) on my opening roster, and i still have 3

i needed the points, and all around play more than i needed the assists from nash (i've pretty much won assists every week and gotten blown out on scoring...except for this week where i m getting killed in everything)

i really would like a reason why this was shot down

if you go by small hoops player efficiency rating, this was a pretty fair trade as well

I think the league is set to only 1 or 2 vetoes to cancel a trade...which wouldn't be fair IMO.

If you look where the roster transactions are (on the bottom under the standings where you normally see a bunch of add/drops, you'll notice trade(vetoed). Twice in one week...

Just click on Schedule and Results. And look at Championship and Consolation.

Basically, 1-6 go to the championship round, 1, 2 get a 1st round bye.
7-12 go to the consolation round, 7, 8 get a 1st round bye.

Ah well, only 2 more weeks after this one...and you're up against the no.10 and 14th place teams...
And I'm against Furious/Revert...all of us are fighting for a playoff spot too so we'll certainly hurt each other, opening space for you, etc...

Furious is closest to sneaking in and he needs at least 6 wins per week to get past you...along with you getting swept every week so yeah...wouldn't worry too much about getting a spot :cool:

Well, beginning tomorrow there are a total of 5 weeks left (provided you make the playoffs or the consolation 'playoffs')...Probably better off just letting him go and picking up somebody that hopefully gives him half his numbers :cheesygri
But with so many teams, the free agent pool is incredibly thin...and of course it doesn't help with teams like Rancho Relaxo (Marbury, Gooden, QRich, Stoudemire, Kirilenko) rotting away...every other team has been "active" in March (except Carbo in feb27) except Rancho in December...

Terrible timing for 3 of the top 4 teams (myself, rapist, ming)...playoffs start next week and I just lost Francis and Haslem. Ming's lost BMiller and J'Oneal and now rapist has Duncan out for 2-4 weeks. And with so many teams, the free agent pool is incredibly thin :mad: Bleh, here's hoping other teams get hit hard :cool:

Well...1st seed plays the winner of 4th/5th battle
2nd seed plays winner of 3rd/6th....so there's a chance 2nd will play a lower seed (6th)...but of course, the fact that that team won doesn't really help..

We've secured the top 2 seeds and byes and that's all that matters to me...heck, finishing first in the standings got me nowhere in two leagues during NFL season so maybe 2nd will be a good thing :cool:

How does Troy Murphy or Raef Lafrentz sound? Raef gets a three or 2 a game.. and doesnt turn the ball over much. He's pretty efficient. He's a center and will get you boards + blocks + less turnovers!!!

Bleh... injuries caught up with most of my team... I tried playing selected people so I could maintain my lead in FTM but win in the turnovers department... but I ended up losing both. All or nothing...

Good season all. Maybe we'll start another next year (selected people = no one leaving in the middle of the season holding up all the players....!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Yep, this was a great season..

I paid more attention to numbers rather than highlights :lol: I really have an understanding of how this works...at first I selected my favorite players passing players that were good just because I didn't like them. Anyways, I hope next years season is good...gotta make a list of people who stayed for all games...rather than people who just quit.

Pretty good season. Next year, maybe keep the number of teams down to 10 or 12 and by invite only. Maybe just the teams that were active throughout the season (regardless of final standings) by invite. That way everyone has a slightly deeper team and won't have to rely on being solely injury-free :cool:
