Well it seems like Ricky Williams wants back in...This is one wierd man. Anyways my take is that they let him back in but they heavily fine him. THat way he will have less $$ to spend on weed.

He's required to pay back 8.6m, who has 8.6m after someone spends it all on drugs?

He's a basket case who has no money left.
What an idiot. He should've stayed 2 more seasons then he wouldn't have to play football anymore after that.
Now he has to payback 8.6m by working for it.
Doofus.

he owes 8.6 million of the fins and a 1 year suspension for failing 3 drug test to the League. If he is allowed back it will be sometime next year. He can't come back this year, for he had filed his retirement paper and he is technically not serving his suspension yet, so it will be interesting as to when he will be back in the NFL. He is probably trying to get the league to count his sitting out this year as serving his 1 year drug suspension.

He will have problems going back with the Fins as he had ripped a few teammates after he had retired.

I just hope the skins don't try to trade for him, Dan Synder, DO NOT TRADE OR SIGN HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

Completely Unconfirmed as I can't even remember who said it or what station I was listening to, hows that for a reliable source, but someone was claiming that Ricky retired to avoid the controversy of the failed 3rd drug test and 1 year suspension that accompanies it. When he found out he'd have to repay $8.6 million he figured trying to return was better then paying out that kind of $$. This guy was also claiming that Ricky never lost his desire to play but the failed 3rd drug test caused him to quit rather then face the consequences and jump through the hoops that the NFL puts up in these instances. Apparently Ricky doesn't think that he should have to do this as the failed tests have been for soft core drugs not the hard stuff or performance enhancers. A treatment program for occassional marijuana use does seem kind of harsh.

I think he should play the Ross Rebagliatti defense, I was just in the same room as people that were smoking it.
