Hi folks,
Thing I hate about the internet is that there's so much music out there, its hard to know what's good. Post your favorite new songs in here, so we can all benefit:Ask 10 people to list their 10 favourite songs, and you'll get 10 unique lists. Musical taste is such a personal thing that what one person likes, another one hates.
Add snobs who hate anything mainstream, and it makes it even worse. :)
That being said, now that I've played the crap out of American Idiot (the album) so I'd know it in time for the show, I'd like to hear the new Lowest of the Low and Bowling for Soup discs.
I'm also eagerly anticipating the new Jimmy Eat World and Treble Charger discs.

Flogging Molly's new Within A Mile Of Home disc is getting a lot of play in my CD player lately. I really like the female vocals on Factory Girls in particular, and was a little disappointed that I didn't get to hear it live tonight, but hearing the vast majority of the rest of the new album made up for it.

Fall to Pieces - Velvet Revolver
I love that song... but I am afraid it's going to get so overplayed on tv and radio.. that's what always happens. I hear a song, love it, then it gets played to death. Maybe I should just shut off the radio/tv altogether. ;)

Also, there are a few really good singers/bands which people should really check out, because they don't get nearly enough attention:
Jack Johnson
Damien Rice
Broken Social Scene
Metric
Muse
The first two are VERY mellow. Awesome date music. BSS is the type of music you listen to when you're hanging out at your place before going out for the night, to get you in the right state of mind. Metric is really good car music. Muse is like Radiohead crossed with Nickelback...sounds strange, but they're awesome.
PS. The new Jimmy Eat World CD is incredible. VERY close to the best CD they've made. Its the perfect trifecta: Clarity-Bleed American-Futures
