I agree. The guy's hands are still on the handlebars. I think if you were going to do a faceplant, you would try and protect your face by putting your hands in front of it...it just a natural instinct. Still pretty funny though.

Eh I think it's quite possibly real.

For me its be HARDER to do it staged.. because your reflex would be to slow your collision into the pole...

Altho the situation itself seems implausible... unless the cyclist braked hard on his front tire after seeing the pole, then did an endo. But in all liklihood the cyclist could have just steered out of the way. Cuz hmm yeah when one endos, you usually bring up your hands.. hmm

Despite many of the misconceptions, bikes do not spontaneously flip over. lol

I think the handle bars are hitting his sack. thats why his hands are there, to try to pry the handlebars away.

no no, staged as in he wasn't even riding his bike towards the pole
