Slightly off-topic, Danny Glover was at the theater I work at...probably because we had a couple screenings of "Saw"

I just got back from the midnight madness screening ...i had a blast! The crowd was very energized and enthusiastic.
If you enjoyed the trailers, you won't be disappointed with the film. I won't go into any details, but the film is very sick and twisted ...but probably not as gory or violent as I thought it would be. The visuals are quite dark and haunting reminiscent of the style of Floria Sigismondi and Cindy Sherman. It's looks like a music video at times ...often with exaggerated camera work and editing.
Overall, I enjoyed it ...it was good entertainment. Not a "classic" by any means, but it worked for me. It's a bit cheesy at times, but I think that's to be expected from this genre of film. ;)
The director and writer/actor were present at the screening, and what's interesting about them is that they were just two young blokes fresh out of art college in Australia. They wanted to make a low-budget film together in their basement. So they wrote a script around the idea of having two people trapped in a basement in chains. The script eventually landed into the hands of some L.A. producers and that's how they went from making student art films to a big budget hollywood film! And they only had 18 days to shoot the film, pretty amazing!

Next week (Oct 28) isn't it? I know it's soon, not entirely sure since I have no interest in it so it's not a date I'm sure about.

I hope they have different actors in it (except Danny Glover).
The first Saw had some of the worst acting I've ever seen.
The plot was good though.
