they also call them sweetbread :D. I'm pretty sure that Canoe has it on their menu. I remember seeing at North 44 as well.

yes i know it's not oysters. ^^
i'm doing some research on weird /unusual food that you can find in toronto.

if you guys know any other weird food, plz let me know.

I can remember one of the earlier episodes of Fear Factor where they had to eat Prairie Oysters. First, there was a layer of thick membrane that they had to bite through, and then. All the juices that gushed out as they bite in to the rest of it. Yes.. the juice was light and milky. PUKE

Prairie Oyster is a drink. It was used as a cure for a hangover in the 1936 movie, "Mr. Deeds goes to Town", starring Gary Cooper as the one with the hangover.
