I don't think they're underated as I know many people like them. I haven't found a person that dislikes them that have tried them even white people.

durain a.k.a the pineapple wannabe that stinks
this imo is the most under-rated fruit because of the smell... but it's like eating ice cream with your hands when u actually eat it..

You gotta add like 4 packets of hot sauce for any flavour with the Wendy's chili but then that gives you the runs...

Just to clarify if anyone is actually looking to try it, the fruit is called Durian, not Durain. An alternative to finding durian fruit, which is quite smelly and will leave a bad smell on your hands, is to buy durian ice cream.

Where is this place? Green tea ice cream is my most favorite thing in life!!!! I payed like $4 for a tiny little bowl of it last night at a restraunt here in Regina... Can you get me an address/phone number/email for this place so I can order me a tub? I would be forever grateful :)

I used to like them... until one day when I saw what the frosty looks like after leaving it out for 8 hours.... it didn't look like that was frosty few hours b4...
Otherwise, I vote for durain or durain shake in particular... I had them in the vietnam place in Hamilton.

Durian stinks (I mean smell) I almost threw up when I first tried it. Been scared of it since.
It is an aquired taste. Either you like it, or you really hate it.
Not to mention it is really expensive. They sell it by weight and 90% is not ediable

What's Shish Taouk?
It's like gyros, but made with chicken. Then they put some funky coloured veggies and this creamy garlic sauce and then wrap it up in a pita and voila!

Any vietnamese bread sucks in comparison to the ones you get down in Chinatown. They used to be $1 each but have rasied the prices to $1.50.

How about jack fruit, looks almost the same as a durian, smells better and IMHO taste better.
If anyone havent smelt a durian yet, it smells like cough medicine or something, basically it smells like a bitter medicine.

EWW! Seriously -- try Country Havest's "Oats & Honey" and "Sunflower with Flax". Awesome stuff.
Durian: It's too sweet for me. I heard if you freeze the meat and then eat it that way, it's less sweet and literally like ice cream. Gotta try that.
Tofu -- if prepared right -- is awesome.
