Hey, I'm interested in applying at Starbucks. I'm just wondering if they require a lot of expierence in retail in order to get a job there. I'm asking because I'd like to know if I stand a chance before applying. Oh yeah, I'm talking about a job inside the store, not a head office job
. Thanks.

Dude ... The best way to get a job at startbucks is to approach the manager when it's not busy (say at 10AM on work days) and then present yourself ... with a smile... saying how you are interested in this job, what he's looking for blah blah... and if you're REALLY willing, you can ask him if you can try you out for a day, free of charge... if he likes you he'll keep you.
Try before you buy u know? Like RFD... !

I'd like a job at Starbucks just for that free 1lb of coffee free per week. (I believe that's what it is?)

Starbucks employees (part time) are required to work a minimum of 15 hours a week (To prevent people from leaching off the companys employee benefits)

thanks for the advice yell0w c0w, that's very helpful and I'll do just that. That's kinda how I got my present job, I just walked up to the manager and talked with him, he barely looked at my resume before giving me an interview.
and I don't see what the problem of working a minimum of 15 hours per week is, my current job only gives me like 10 hours a week (if I'm lucky enough to get that many) now that the holiday season is over, I'm actually looking for a job with lots of hours and Starbucks' wages are great. |

^really? I would think that they don't need that many employees because all the people that work there are happy therefore they stay. I'm going to apply to the three locations closest to me. BTW, do I have to fill out an application or is a resume just fine?
