Default Another alternative to buying cheap light bulbs-LED LIGHT BULBS

http://www.ecoleds.com/Products.html

It's really cost effective .. from 1W to 10W light bulbs with about ~10,000 hours of life span.

nice, but just how much light do they put out?.. if they are using 165 LED's in a bulb ( the big flood light) I assume they are not using the super bright current generation LED's, as they go for several $ each.

i'll bet within a week of usage, half of the LEDs would not function

they should really be using the more advanced 3W leds (cree) instead of grouping hundreds of "super bright white" leds

yeah, the Cree were the ones I was talking about, but they are several dollars each.. and you will still need more than one.
