I use Outlook Express as my main e-mail client at work and at home... Typically, I have a bunch of e-mails sitting in my Inbox that are essentially my "to do" pile -- things which need action or a reply.
What I would like to be able to do is to add a note for each message, and have that note appear on the list of messages, alongside sender name, subject, receive date, etc. But Outlook Express doesn't have this functionality. There's an e-mail client called PocoMail that essentially has this feature... But I don't want to switch from Outlook Express. Can anyone suggest a way to accomplish what I'm looking for? If there's any solution out there, it'll likely be some utility program or an Outlook Express add-on... I'm willing to pay for something that works well. |

Whoops, sorry!
I was going to say, you need to add the field to the default form for e-mails... but turns out you can only add it to the compose form, not the read form (at least not as an editable field), so that's no use to you. Sorry! |

Bump. I'm still hoping to do something like this. Hopefully in Outlook Express, but I might be willing to switch to Outlook. As a last resort, I guess I could go to PocoMail.
This will help explain what I want (look for the bright red boxed area):
