I'm building up a dvd collection of 80s movies and I was wondering what you guys recommend. My fav genres are action, comedy and teen movies.

The quintessential 80s movie hands down has to go to The Breakfast Club. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is also pretty good. Get the Brat Pack series just to be safe.
For action, Terminator, Predator, RoboCop. Will add more later. Tip: Usually WalMart's clearance bins has cheesy 80s movies for $5 or so. Check those out for some surprises and hidden gems.

Actually only ESB and RotJ were the 80's. Star Wars (ANH) is from the 70's.
I would suggest The Princess Bride. Another one I just saw last night. War games.

Halloween, the first one....They are now making a remake of it by Rob Zombie, which is coming out late summer/fall. Would be a nice collectible.
