Located in GTA 50 Free PC Points at Loblaws for your own bags

Not sure if this was posted yet. I was just at Loblaws and noticed they have promo if you bring your own bags you get 50 free PC points. I think its if you bring 3 or more bags, because the cashier asked me how many bags I brought.

Since loblaws charges 5 cents for a bag in the GTA if you bring in your own bags then they reward you by giving you 50 free pc points every time you purchase something.

Or 50 PC points if you pay using a PCF debit/credit card. I always use ~10-12 bags . By not filling them full, I increased their lifespan and get more points !

RCSS does this in the West too. It's an incentive to bring reusable bags.

Do you have to buy their PC Green bags, or any reusable bag is qualified?

^ It's for any bag.

They've have this forever. It's like a free nickle in groceries for every bag!

I'm pretty sure Loblaws only charges in Toronto, the stores in the rest of the GTA will still give out plastic bags free.

Its any bag.
I've used safeway, Calgary Coop, the "almost free" Marks Work Warehouse ones from the $10 online printed coupon days.

heck I've seen people reuse plastic bags and RCSS will give you the points. They just ask how many bags you have

I think this is a great ides. More stores should offer some kind of reward/points/money off your bill. If they would more people would reuse/bring their own bags.

As long as it's not a bait and switch thing. A couple of months ago, my local IGA started charging a nickel per bag and giving you back a nickel per bag you reused. That lasted for a couple of months, long enough to convince me that IGA's reusable bags at .69$ would be a good "investment". I purchased 8-10 bags and the following week, they changed their rules, they were still charging for plastic bags but they were no longer giving a nickel when you used reusable bags. Instead, they gave it to a children charity.
