We've got a whole slew of gifts at a sub-$40 pricepoint! We've divided our suggestions by gift recipient -- and most of these items ship for free!
-
For Her
Inexpensive presents for your wife, your girlfriend, or just about anyone of the female persuasion.
Metallic Canvas Tote - $24 from Chapters.Indigo.ca. The only problem with this great bag is that it's $1 below the free shipping threshold at Chapters. Everything else about it is spot-on.
Hostess Gift Set with infuser, four teas in tins and more - $30 at Teaopia.ca
Almond Oil Intensive Hand Rescue - $18 at TheBodyShop.ca
Glucksteinhome Decanter with Stopper - $17.49 at TheBay.com. Simultaneously disguise the fact that you're serving cheap wine and improve the flavour a bit by giving it some fresh air with this gorgeous-looking decanter.
Metallic Candles Gift Set - $31.50 at Chapters.Indigo.ca. Scented candles aren't for everyone -- some people are just too sensitive to smells. But for someone who likes them, these are well-priced and beautifully packaged in metal cups.

For Him
Gifts for the guys in your life.
Hudson's Bay Ceramic Travel Mug - $15 at TheBay.com. It's only slightly less Canadian than the Canadian flag.
Men's Shaving Kit - $35.99 at Well.ca. This set looks elegant and classy but conveniently, takes Gillette razor refill cartridges.
Back to Basics Egg-and-Muffin 2-Slice Toaster and Egg Poacher - $34.97 from Amazon.ca. Breakfast is served in four minutes flat.
Bodum Bistro Electric Blade Grinder - $23.54 from Amazon.ca. Not that we're stuck on a breakfast theme (although we kind of are), but fresh-ground beans make better coffee, no matter how it's brewed. And this grinder is eye-catching and well-priced.
Hamilton Beach Aroma Express 5-Cup Coffee Maker - $18.45 at Amazon.ca

For Teens
Teens are notoriously hard to shop for. We've got one thing that's best for boys and one thing that's best for girls, but most of these gifts will work for either gender.
Robot Splitter - $15 at Chapters.Indigo.ca. Perfect for watching movies or sharing music on flights, long drives or public transit.
Community: Season 1, $19.83 at Amazon.ca. If they haven't seen Community yet, they really should.
Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers - $$5.99 from Well.ca. Nice, shimmery colours that aren't too opaque.
Chicken Leg Pillow - $21.95 from Chapters.Indigo.ca. This is a pillow that looks like a chicken leg.
Clocky Moving Alarm Clock - $38.99 from Amazon.ca. Well. They were having trouble getting out of bed.

Babies
Sure, they're not going to remember this holiday season in ten years (or ten days), but you should pick a little something up for them anyway. (For a broader range of kid-friendly ideas, check out the Hot Toy Gift Guide 2011.)
Sophie the Giraffe - $22.99 at Well.ca
Sophie the Giraffe Bath Toy - $15.99 at Well.ca. Perfect for the baby that has everything; this petite Sophie will round out her collection of chewable giraffes.
Haba Magica Clutching Toy - $19.49 at Well.ca
Huggies Mega Pack Diapers - 2/$28 at Well.ca. The younger the baby is, the more likely his or her parents will appreciate a truly practical gift -- they've likely got tiny, twee onesies coming out their ears. These diapers usually sell for $22 each, so 2/$28 is a great deal.
Bon Bon Bunny - $18.50 from Chapters.Indigo.ca. Forget everything we said about practical presents, this bunny is adorable.
