TigerDirect: Refurb. TomTom ONE XL 4.3” TTS/BT GPS $115, Refurb. Garmin Nuvi 680 $170
If you're looking for a bargain on a GPS but don't want to pass up goodies like Bluetooth, Text-to-Speech, and a 4.3" screen, TigerDirect.ca has some deals you'll want to consider.
Obviously, both units are refurbished, but it certainly keeps the price down. The Nuvi 680 still comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labour, while the less expensive TomTom ONE XL comes with a 3 month warranty on parts and labour. Both look great in terms of features. If you're still shying away from refurbished items, keep in mind that TigerDirect.ca still has the Garmin Nuvi 360, new, for $169.99. It's a 3.5" GPS with text-to-speech and Bluetooth.
Father's Day is just around the corner too, so keep that in mind!

Explore Canada: Four One-Way Flight Credits Starting at $600 from Air Canada
Air Canada is offering a new Explore Canada flight pass this summer. For as low as $600 (if you fly on Tuesdays and Saturdays) or $840 (if want to fly any day of the week) you'll get 4 one-way flight credits for use any time between June 7 to October 17, 2009. Alternatively, you can get 8 one-way flight credits (for use by up to four people) for $1400. With these passes, your trips will start as low as $300 round-trip -- a pretty decent deal. Some of the passes are limited to travel within regions so you'll want to consult the map and list of cities for each pass before you buy.
The pass is on sale until August 1, 2009.
Here's the fine print: "Explore Canada Passes are non-refundable. Explore Canada Passes are available until August 1 and are valid for travel until October 17, 2009. Reservations of flight credits must be done at least seven 7 days before departure and are subject to Tango availability (K booking class)."

MBNA Starwood Preferred Guest MasterCard: No Annual Fee, Travel Rewards, & More
Interested in a new credit card? The MBNA Starwood Preferred Guest MasterCard is a credit card you should definitely have a look at. It's a good travel rewards card, but it has compelling features that even users who don't travel too often may find very tempting. This card...
- has no annual fees
- earns 1 Starpoint for every $2 CAD spent on all your eligible purchases
- has an activation Bonus — 5,000 Starpoints after your first purchase on the card
- has a Starwood Hotel Stay Bonus — 5,000 Starpoints the first time you charge a stay at any participating Starwood hotel or resort to your Starwood Preferred Guest MasterCard
- has annual bonuses - 5,000 Starpoints for every $10,000 you spend (up to 15,000 Starpoints each year)
- has an Annual Interest Rate of 19.99%
All in all, those are some tempting rewards. Starpoints can be redeemed for stays at Starwood Hotels and Resorts (see this chart for more) as well as redeemed for other goods like gift certificates from retailers such as Amazon.com, Banana Republic, GAP, Pottery Barn, and itunes to name a few.
If you apply for this card and and meet certain qualifications, you receive a Gold or Platinum Platinum card (with appropriate perks such as free travel insurance and collision insurance for car rentals). Overall, this card is well liked in the RedFlagDeals.com community, and you can check out a long discussion about the card here. Free Sunday Guided Walking Tours @ High Park (GTA)
October 22 Update: With autumn in full swing, now is a great time to take advantage of free guided walking tours of High Park. Upcoming dates include October 26 and November 9.
Originally Posted March 6: It's March, so maybe it's time to start making good on your possibly less than resolute New Year's Resolution to get in shape. One fun and invigorating way to get started is some good, old fashioned hiking. By sheer coincidence, you can take part in some scheduled, free guided hikes in High Park. These hikes are moderately paced, naturalist led hikes that are held monthly on the second and fourth Sunday morning throughout the year. Tours lasts 1.5 hours. This sounds like a great way to get out there for some fresh air and exercise. For a full list of scheduled hikes, each with different subjects (such as a hike that focuses on edible plants, and changing colours photography hike in the Fall), visit HighPark.org and navigate to the "Walking Tours" button in the middle of the page.
You can also call 416-392-1748 ext. 5 for more information. These walks are free and organized by the High Park Nature Centre, the High Park Community Advisory Council, High Park Initiatives and Colborne Lodge, but donations are welcome. Thanks to sprung for pointing out this freebie.
