Free e-Book Download: George Clason’s The Richest Man In Babylon

With a holiday weekend coming up, it might be a good time to kick back a do a little reading. If you don't have anything to read, check out a free e-book version of The Richest Man in Babylon (PDF). This is one of the earliest written books about personal finances (1926), but despite being more than 80 years old, it still has wisdom to impart even today. It's written as a set of parables in ancient Babylon, so it's certainly a change of pace from typical books serving up financial advice.

This book is free domain, but if you were to purchase a paper copy from Amazon.ca, you'd still have put up $7.50. Despite its age, the advice offered in the book is pretty timeless -- as the 5/5 rating based on 228 reviews at Amazon.ca would indicate.

Dimdim Web Conferencing Service… Free for up to 20 Users or Monthly Plans from $9.99

If you find yourself using products like Skype or WebEx for web conferences, you might be interested in Dimdim. Dimdim is a web conferencing service that lets users share desktops, show slides, chat, talk, broadcast via webcam, and collaborate. There's no software download required. It gets even more interesting because Dimdim is available for free for up to 20 users. If you need more, there are plans starting from $9.99 that offer more services and user capacity. Service is scalable all the way up to enterprise level solutions.

You might as well give it a shot since there is a free version -- this seems like a great tool that would be well suited for big companies, small businesses, and even students doing group work.

Create Free Caricatures of Yourself, Your Family & More at VistaPrint

VistaPrint has a pretty neat feature we've just noticed -- their Free Caricature page, where you can create cartoon versions of yourself, your pets, your kids, your friends and more.

Creating the caricature is free (as is right-clicking and saving to use the figure as an avatar, for example) but if you'd like to do a bit more with your new cartoon family, you can make personalized business cards (140 for only $7.99 US), sticky note pads (just $4.99 US), or even a t-shirt for $9.49 US.
