Over at eBay.ca, you might be able to get some holiday shopping done early with their 12 Days of Big Deals. The "Big Deal" is a single item that is heavily discounted from an eBay.ca seller and it always comes with free shipping. Deals usually last for a week or until supplies run out (whichever comes first), but from November 9 to November 20, it will be a new deal each day!

The Day 2 item is the Kensington Liquidaux Bluetooth Car Kit For Cell Phones for $38.99 with free shipping.
Mac users should check out MacHeist.com, where they are currently giving away 6 apps for free. The MacHeist nanoBundle includes the following:

ShoveBox

WriteRoom

Twitterrifc

TinyGrab

Hordes of Orcs

Mariner Write (unlocked with 500,000 participants)

We wouldn't expect that you will find all of the apps useful, but some of them sound pretty interesting. ShoveBox lets you take notes or scraps of information (text, images, URLs, and more) in a very intuitive way and lets you organize them all. TinyGrab is a screenshot taking tool streamlines taking screenshots and uploading them. Mariner Write, which isn't unlocked yet, is a fast, streamlined word processor. It's worth checking out considering the price!

Forum user Soulsaber has spotted an excellent deal over at BestBuy.ca. Right now, Rock Band 2 (game only, no instruments) can be had for just $19.99 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, or Nintendo Wii! That's a terrific price for this super-popular game. Prior to this, you weren't likely to find a new copy for less than $39.99. All 3 titles currently list as out of stock, but will ship when available.

In terms of components, it looks nearly identical to the Vostro 430 (although Vostro 430 in question has Windows 7 Professional while this XPS 8000 has Home Premium). It also has a built in card reader and some neat additions on top of the case -- a power button and USB/audio ports in a tray. Those of you looking for a good quality, affordable GPS will want to check out the Garmin 255. It has text-to-speech and is backed by Garmin'swell-established design. In short, it does what it's supposed to do. You will note, of course, that it is a refurbished unit, but you won't find this price for a new unit. It also comes with a 1-year warranty. Based on 46 reviews at TigerDirect.ca, the Nuvi 255 has an overall score of 4.7/5.

If you're interested in a high end Logitech Harmony remote but find normal prices too steep, the refurbished Harmony One at $159.97 looks quite good as well.
October 27 Update: The configurations and prices have been changed around a little. All of the systems now feature Windows 7 and some have seen hardware upgrades (like 4GB RAM instead of 3, and 500GB hard drives instead of 250GB).

At the "low end" of these deals, there is a Vostro 420 Tower with an Intel Core 2 Quad <s>Q9400</s> Q8300. At the other end of the spectrum, $999 will get you a Core i7-860 equipped Vostro 430 PC with 8GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro, and a 1TB Hard drive. Here's a more detailed look at the systems:

The Vostro 420 isn't bad, but if processing power is of the utmost importance to you, then you will definitely want to consider the i7-860 systems.

These systems offer great value in our book. For many mainstream users and certainly for businesses, it would be quite difficult to go the "build-it-yourself" route for comparable systems when you have to factor in manpower, all of the components, operating systems, assembly and testing, as well as shipping (which is free from Dell.ca).

If you've been looking to pick up a Nintendo DSi, this is as good a deal as we've seen in quite some time. In, fact it is the lowest price we've seen at retail! The previous low was a black DSi for $170 during Days of Deals event. Other retailers are selling the DSi for $179.99 to $189.99.

The other item that catches our eye is the Kodak ZX1 camcorder. You're probably not going to be shooting documentaries with this camera, but as DigitalCameraReview.com puts it, the ZX1 "travels well, doesn't occupy too much space, records decent video and does it all in style". That sounds pretty good to us! According to PriceCanada.com, other Canadian retailers currently sell this for $140 and up.
