Disappointed, confused

On Sept. 8, 2009 I ordered a Logitech mouse from Amazon (mainly based on the positive reviews the store has here on RFD), was told it was in stock and delivery would be within 7 days (to Nova Scotia). After a month had gone by I received the following email: {We're still trying to obtain the following item[s] you ordered on September 08 2009 (Order #*******************): "Logitech VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks" http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B000I8OCXU Still want it? We'll keep on trying. You'll still be able to cancel at any time before we ship it. If you want to cancel the item now, please click the link below.} I still wanted it, and told them I did. 3 days later I get email #2: {We're sorry to report we won't be able to obtain the following item from your order: "Logitech VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks" We realize this is disappointing news to receive, and we apologize for any inconvenience we've caused you. We've canceled this item from your order.} Why indicate that it was in stock, ready to be shipped, then turn around a month later and say they can't obtain one? Got an automated apology for my inconvenience, nothing more....won't shop here again...

I ordered a heavy UPS battery from Amazon.ca online. It was a good price and I was surprised they even carried such things. To my utter amazement it arrived the very next day. I had not ordered overnight delivery. Very impressed!

I never buy books elsewhere anymore ever since discovery of amazon.ca I bought 4 books which would cost me around $80 plus tax retail but I only paid $40something with tax!!!! The free shipping is awesome. They shipped via Canada Post which claimed it should take 2-3 days to arrive. I placed this order Tuesday late at night and received it on Thursday afternoon. They are oos for a book that I want, but I have no problem waiting because I bought a different book on the same subject which was recommended by their suggestion page. Will definitely deal with again and highly recommend them if you want any books!!!
