Now that Mother's Day is taken care of, it's time to start thinking about Father's Day, and that's just what Best Buy is doing.

The Best Buy's rewards program, Reward Zone, like it did for Mother's Day, now has a lightning quick 1-question survey about Father's Day. In exchage, you will receive 50 free Reward Zone points, the equivalent of spending $50 at Best Buy. Once you get to 400 points you can cash it in for a $5 Best Buy Reward Certificate.

As before, you'll need to login to your account and look for the survey. If you don't have an account you can sign up for one, which is quick and painless as well. Thanks to gambit_360 for this one.

    New Dell Vostro 1310 13.3” Laptop: Celeron 1.86GHz M540, 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, XP/Vista $449! Hot!

May 9 Update: This offer is still available. $449 is a great price for sturdy 13.3" laptop. The processor could be faster, but for basic productivity needs like note taking, word processing, email, and surfing, this is a mighty good deal.

Dell has launched updated Vostro laptops, starting with a 13.3" model dubbed the Vostro 1310. The 1310 is, obviously, smaller than it's Vostro 1400 and 1500 brothers. The revamped Vostros, according to Dell, are "thinner, lighter, and more secure". The first deal out of the gate is a Celeron M M540 equipped Vostro 1310 Notebook for $449 with your choice of Windows XP Home or Vista Home Basic. Here are the specs:
    • Intel Celeron M M540 (1.86GHz, 1M L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
    • Windows XP Home Edition or Windows Vista Home Basic
    • 13.3 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen XGA LCD Display w/TrueLife™
    • 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 DIMM
    • 160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    • 8X DVD+/-RW with double-layer DVD+/-R write capability, Data Only
    • IntelJ Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
    • Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Mini Card
    • High Definition Audio 2.0
    • 1 Year Basic Limited Warranty plus 1 Year Mail-in Service
    • 58 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
Link to the Windows XP Home Configuration
Link to the Windows Vista Home Basic Configuration

A noteworthy upgrade is the 9-cell battery for $20. Other upgrades of interest are the Nvidia 8400M GS for $99 and the Touchpad with UPEK Fingerprint Reader for $35. It is a bit disappointing that there are no selectable processor upgrades, but a 13.3" notebook with Vostro build quality for a tick under $450 is a great bargain regardless. Shipping is free.

Kitchen Stuff Plus: 25% Off (GTA)

Kitchen Stuff Plus is offering a printable, in-store coupon for 25% off. (There's a PDF of the same coupon here.) It's good until June 1, 2008.

The coupon can only be used for single items -- if multiple items purchased it'll be applied to most expensive single item. If we were using it, we'd want to buy a bigger-ticket item like a set of dinnerware, some wine glasses... the possibilities are endless.

Coupon can only be used in-store, and there's a limit of one per customer per day.
