In November 2000 I was surfing the web and reading about the deals that American shoppers were getting and I got jealous. I was tired of seeing the hot deals on laptops, video cards, clothing, and other items only to be denied at the checkout due to shipping restrictions. Even when a retailer did ship to Canada the exchange rate and duty made some of the best deals mediocre at best.

So I asked myself, if these deals were available in the US why wouldn't comparable deals be offered on this side of the border? The answer is they are, and thus began my quest to create the ultimate Canadian shopping site.

That was more than 7 years ago now and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished. Today there are thousands of deals and coupons across 13 categories, full-time staff dedicated to finding deals and most impressive of all, over 135,000 Canadians have joined the RedFlagDeals.com community to help Canadians find and share the best deals, coupons, and freebies from across the country. With the help of our community, we’ve managed to save Canadians millions of dollars over the last 7 years. That's certainly worth celebrating!
