New: Paid Canadian Online Surveys @ Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com, $5 When You Sign Up
We're proud to announce that we've partnered with United Sample to launch a brand new Canadian online surveys community at Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com.
You get $5 just for signing up and you'll be compensated for each online survey that you complete. The system will track your earnings and when you hit $25 in earnings you can cash out. There should be at least one survey for you to complete after you sign up, and more in many cases, but it depends on your demographics and personal profile. Some of the other benefits of the system include:
- Balances tracked by the system so you'll know exactly where your earnings are
- Option to fill out an extended profile after signing up. You'll earn a few more dollars for completing those profile surveys
- Percentage estimates as to whether you'd qualify for specific surveys
- Automatic notification of new surveys as soon as they're released
- $5 sign up bonus
This is a new partnership for us, and we're hopeful that it'll have a steady stream of surveys soon. In the future, you should also see some exclusive surveys that will just go to the Surveys.RedFlagDeals.com panel but that'll be a while yet as we're just getting started. Let us know if you have any questions in the comments and we'll try to answer them as best we can.

Do One Day of Volunteering and Get One Day’s Free Admission to Disney World or Disneyland!
You can get a free day's admission to Disneyland or Disney World just by doing a day of volunteer work. This super-hot offer from Disneyland and Disney World doesn't start until January 1, 2010, but it's definitely one you'll want to include in your calendar.
Here's how it works: Starting January 1, 2010, you can sign up for eligible volunteer opportunities with participating organizations (all the Canadian opportunities will be run through Volunteer Canada). After you complete your volunteer activity, you will receive an email from Disney prompting you to log in to your account and print a vouchers your free ticket to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme park.
You have to be six years old or older to participate in the program. You must be 18 years of age or older to sign up, and each person to sign up can sign-up a maximum of eight additional household members.
The fine print clearly states that this offer is valid in Canada -- kudos to Disney for including their neighbors to the North!

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Virus, Spyware, Malware Protection
Microsoft is throwing it's hat into the ring of free anitvirus packages and spyware detectors with Microsoft Security Essentials. It's a new, and free security package that includes virus, spyware, and malware protection all in one for Windows PC users. The early reviews are quite positive with Ars Technica being very impressed with the lightweight and unobtrusive installation:
"It should be noted that MSE is very small; the installer sizes range from just over 4MB to under 9MB. The installation is also very quick and the program's folder takes up only about 13MB. MSE sports a single tray icon (hidden by default in Windows 7) that indicates it is running. The software doesn't add any browser toolbars, desktop gadgets, or additional bloatware during installation."
Free and lightweight? Sounds like it's worth a try.
