Best Buy is gearing up for a new DoorCrasher promotion. Details are scant at this point -- we know there will be 24 door crasher items, and that the promotion will run for one week. There's just a teaser banner on the Best Buy's website, but that should change tomorrow morning. We'll update this post with interesting deals once the promotion starts.

CTY Computers: Samsung External 20x DVD-burner $39.99
Toronto area retailer CTY Computers currently has a hot deal if you're looking for an external DVD-burner. Until November 23, you can grab a Samsung USB 2.0 External DVD Writer (black) for $39.99 cash in store, or $41 if you order online (they now ship orders across Canada as well). External DVD-burners routinely cost $60 and up, so this is a very attractive offering. If you have a netbook, or perhaps deal with older computers that might have have DVD drives, this is a very handy peripheral.
Thanks to twopointfivebar for the heads up!

Toronto area retailer PC Village has the Intel Core I7 920 Quad Core Processor (LGA1366, 2.66GHz, Bloomfield, 8MB cache, 4.8GT/S) for $349.95 .

Dell.ca: Vostro 220 PC w/Core 2 Duo E8400, 250GB HD, 2GB RAM, 19” LCD, Vista $579
Dell.ca has a very nice offer at the moment on a complete desktop PC including a 19" LCD. It's a Vostro 220 with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 proecssor, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, Vista Basic and a 19" LCD for $579. Here are the full specs:
- Intel Core 2 Duo Proc E8400 (3.00GHz,6MB L2Cache,1333FSB)
- Windows Vista Home Basic
- 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz - 2DIMMs
- 250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
- 1 Year Limited Warranty, Next Business Day Onsite Service and Tech Support
- Integrated 5.1 Channel Audio
- Integrated Video, Intel® GMA X4500HD
- Single Drive: 16X DVD+/-RW Drive
- Dell 19 inch Widescreen E1909WFP Analog Flat Panel Display
Upgrades to consider include moving up to a 20" LCD for $30 and a 22" LCD for $50. A couple of productivity add-ons include Microsoft Works 9 (no MS Word) for $0, and Microsoft Works Plus 2008 (with Word 2003) for $30.
A similar Vostro 200 system without the monitor cost $429 a few weeks ago, and it was considered a very good deal since the E8400 processor is one of the fastest available. This configuration comes with the newer Vostro 220 case design, and of course, a 19" LCD. When you break down the cost, you're looking at about $150 for the 19" LCD, which is more than reasonable. This is definitely a hard system to beat if you need a complete computer with a fast processor.

Dell.ca: Wii Bundle w/ Wii Music & 2 Remotes/Nunchuks $380, Garmin Nuvi 270 $200 & More
It's about time to start thinking about what gifts you'll be giving this holiday season. Dell.ca has some offers that might give you some ideas including a Wii Music Bundle, a Garmin GPS with preloaded maps of North America and Europe, and an surge protector to keep your power cables neat and tidy.
The Wii Music bundle saves you about $10 buying all of the included pieces at normal retail prices. The savings may not be huge, but Wii music has been perennially sold out, and even Wii Consoles can still be difficult to find. For the Nuvi 270, compare prices at PriceCanada.com, no other retailer has it as low as $199.99 while being able to match Dell's free shipping. If you or whoever you're shopping for already have all of the electronics you need, you can keep power cables tidy and hidden with the Belkin 7-Outlet Small Conceal Surge Protector, which isn't a bad pickup at $14.99. Shipping is free.
